Repost: A very important panel coming up on 1st July. We’re so excited to announce the full line up for ‘From Hackney Marshes to Wembley: Ensuring The Whole Game Benefits’ - a discussion around the increased attention and financial investment into the women’s game - from the grassroots to the elite:
Anita Asante - Chelsea FC and England player. Throughout her career, @neetz2 has won over 70 England caps and played club football in England, the USA and Sweden, winning trophies in all three countries, including the historic quadruple with Arsenal.

Katee Hui - Laces
@kateehui is the founder of @Hackneylaces a community club for girls and women. Since 2011, Laces has been on a mission to get as many girls and women playing football as possible, while raising aspirations along the way. This includes growing the Laces family with 2 sister clubs, @limehouse_laces and @South LondonLacesfc. To date, the clubs have engaged more than 300 girls and women and have 54 female FA licensed coaches. For her work with Laces, Katee has been recognised with a number of incredible awards.
⚽️ Pav Patel and Viv Jeffers - @eastlondonladiesfc.
Pav and Viv are co-founders of East London Ladies FC, a grassroots football club run by women for women! With a lack of footballing opportunities for girls and women in East London, Pav and Viv set up the club for girls aged 2-14 and women aged 16+ to play football for fun, as well as competitively, in a safe environment irrespective of age, religion, ethnicity, ability or sexuality. The club aims are to empower girls and women through football, to lead a healthy active lifestyle, be more confident and develop life skills.
